The Board of the European Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (EAVLD) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for 13 participation grants for the 8th EAVLD Congress, to be held in Athens, Greece, 19–21 October 2026. To support broad participation, the Board will offer two categories of grants:
Grant Category A
- Three grants of €1,000 each
- Priority will be given to applicants originating from low- and middle-income countries (based on current OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) eligibility and conditions)
Grant Category B
- Ten grants covering full registration fees
- Open to early‑career scientists, defined as students in the final year of undergraduate studies or those enrolled in doctoral programmes, who will be presenting a communication at the 8th EAVLD Congress
Application Requirements
Interested candidates are invited to submit the following:
- Full personal and professional details (name, affiliation, postal address, telephone number, email)
- A brief biography (maximum half a page)
- The title and abstract of the communication intended for presentation at the Congress
All applications will be assessed in accordance with the specified eligibility criteria and the scientific merit of the submitted work and must therefore be accompanied by an abstract.
